چکیده

This new textbook explains how to identify ill-posed inverse problems arising in practice and how to design computational solution methods for them; explains computational approaches in a hands-on fashion, with related codes available on a website; and serves as a convenient entry point to practical inversion. It is the only mathematical textbook with a thorough treatment of electrical impedance tomography, and these sections are suitable for beginning and experienced researchers in mathematics and engineering. 2012 • xiv + 351 pages • Softcover • 978-1-611972-33-7 List Price $84.00 • SIAM Member Price $58.80 • CS10

POINTWISE CONVERGENCE TOPOLOGY AND FUNCTION SPACES IN FUZZY ANALYSIS

We study the space of all continuous fuzzy-valued functions  from a space $X$ into the space of fuzzy numbers $(mathbb{E}sp{1},dsb{infty})$  endowed with the pointwise convergence topology.   Our results generalize the classical ones for  continuous real-valued functions.   The field of applications of this approach seems to be large, since the classical case  allows many known devices to be fi...

Some properties of continuous linear operators in topological vector PN-spaces

The notion of a probabilistic metric  space  corresponds to thesituations when we do not know exactly the  distance.  Probabilistic Metric space was  introduced by Karl Menger. Alsina, Schweizer and Sklar gave a general definition of  probabilistic normed space based on the definition of Menger [1]. In this note we study the PN spaces which are  topological vector spaces and the open mapping an...

Superstability of $m$-additive maps on complete non--Archimedean spaces

The stability problem of the functional equation was conjectured by Ulam and was solved by Hyers in the case of additive mapping. Baker et al. investigated the superstability of the functional equation from a vector space to real numbers. In this paper, we exhibit the superstability of $m$-additive maps on complete non--Archimedean spaces via a fixed point method raised by Diaz and Margolis.

Some functional inequalities in variable exponent spaces with a more generalization of uniform continuity condition

‎Some functional inequalities‎ ‎in variable exponent Lebesgue spaces are presented‎. ‎The bi-weighted modular inequality with variable exponent $p(.)$ for the Hardy operator restricted to non‎- ‎increasing function which is‎‎$$‎‎int_0^infty (frac{1}{x}int_0^x f(t)dt)^{p(x)}v(x)dxleq‎‎Cint_0^infty f(x)^{p(x)}u(x)dx‎,‎$$‎ ‎is studied‎. ‎We show that the exponent $p(.)$ for which these modular ine...

Some Fixed Point Theorems in Generalized Metric Spaces Endowed with Vector-valued Metrics and Application in Linear and Nonlinear Matrix Equations

Let $mathcal{X}$ be a partially ordered set and $d$ be a generalized metric on $mathcal{X}$. We obtain some results in coupled and coupled coincidence of $g$-monotone functions on $mathcal{X}$, where $g$ is a function from $mathcal{X}$ into itself. Moreover, we show that a nonexpansive mapping on a partially ordered Hilbert space has a fixed point lying in  the unit ball of  the Hilbert space. ...
